AKIBA'S TRIP: Undead ＆ Undressed

Akihabara, affectionately known as "Akiba," is a suburban Tokyo ward that has witnessed history unfold from the post-war era to the economic bubble of the 1980s. Always a pioneer of progress catering to diverse desires, it was fitting that this technocratic hub would eventually cultivate a completely new kind of appetite. Enter the “Synthisters” – vampires that siphon the life force of the district's figurine collectors, maid café enthusiasts, and cosplayers. Those bitten by Synthisters inherit the traits of their predators, isolate themselves from society, and turn into shut-ins because of a sudden deadly allergy to sunlight. AKIBA’S TRIP follows Nanashi, a young man ensnared by the lure of rare items and transformed into one of the undead. He is rescued from the worst of this fate by a Synthister hunter named Shizuku. Teaming up with the “Akiba Freedom Fighters,” Nanashi and Shizuku must expose the truth behind the Synthister outbreak and prevent Akihabara from being consumed by aggressive, anti-social energy vampires.
