Albert Mort - Desert Heat

Sergeant Albert Mort is an ordinary mercenary seeking to fill the void in his life—and his bank account. His trade is ruthlessly crushing enemies, and business is booming. Albert Mort combines third-person and side-scrolling action shooter mechanics where the primary objective involves clearing challenging, brief missions with specific aims. These missions feature secondary tasks, such as time limits, and completing them awards medals that unlock further content, like special commando raids. A variety of mission types are available, ranging from racing to intense combat. In the Desert Heat expansion, the arid landscape proves as lethal as the protagonist. Amidst the scorching sun, you must reinforce your troops, protect bases, capture territory, and ultimately defeat the villainous drug lord known as Blaster. Special nighttime operations offer additional commando challenges. The game features single-player and local co-op modes across 20 diverse levels including story, commando, shooting range, race, and secret stages. It supports gamepad and keyboard-plus-mouse controls. A sub-mission system rewards medals to unlock new missions. Players can drive vehicles like jeeps and trucks and use mounted stationary weapons such as machine guns and sniper rifles. The arsenal includes primary weapons like pistols, shotguns, rifles, SMGs, bazookas, silenced pistols, and auto-shotguns, alongside secondary gear like grenades and flashbangs. The title also includes semi-intelligent NPC soldiers, NPC gear support, a wide array of mission objectives like kill lists, escorts, and flag captures, and Steam Achievements.
