About This Game

DASH. SOAR. DISCOVER. A.N.N.E merges high-speed platforming elements with shoot 'em up (shmup) flying mechanics. Its aesthetic draws heavy inspiration from 8-bit and 16-bit classics, offering a pixel-art anthology that merges nostalgia with contemporary technology and a polished visual style. It is a retro adventure crafted by hand on an epic scale. Story. In this universe, robots coexist with humans, programmed to serve under rigid regulations. One law mandates that robots infected by the "love virus" be decommissioned. To stop the virus from spreading, these robots are dumped on Gomi, a distant frozen wasteland, where Federation guards—powerful robots—dismantle them without mercy. After pursuing them for ages, you are finally close to the Federation space fleet. A sudden violent asteroid shower threatens the fleet, creating the ideal moment for a rescue operation. Your objective: rescue A.N.N.E and flee. Features. Roam on land or pilot your ship! Use both to collect every fragment of your fallen companion; investigate caves and ruins by foot, or utilize your ship to move heavy objects and unlock new paths. Soundtrack created by Basiscape, the studio of the renowned Hitoshi Sakimoto (known for FF Tactics, Radiant Silvergun, Vagrant Story, FF12, etc.). Navigate a vast, handcrafted environment and battle over 20 distinct bosses. 25 distinct weapon combinations and 5 unique abilities allow for a wide variety of loadouts. Compatible with keyboard and mouse, d-pad controllers, and dual-analog controller aiming. Designed for all players; accessible settings like auto-aim and casual mode allow for a relaxed experience, letting you focus on exploration without the stress of the game's challenging combat.
