Although deep and complex, advisor tools assist you in mastering the game quickly. Unlike similar titles, Armada 2526 is designed for sessions that end in a reasonable time, focusing on battle and strategy rather than economic micromanagement. The title features a turn-based Star Map for empire management and a map designer for games ranging from small skirmishes to massive galaxies with over 50 players. Choose from twelve animated alien species and utilize a sophisticated diplomacy system with intelligent AI. Research more than 100 technologies, including psychic powers and biological warfare, and engage in 3D real-time battles involving hundreds of ships. The combat system integrates ground assaults, allowing marines to attack planets while space battles rage above. Players have access to over a hundred detailed ship models, such as dreadnaughts, carriers, and fighters, and will face off against challenging AI opponents.
