About This Game

Azure Striker Gunvolt delivers a 2D action experience guided by renowned creator Keiji Inafune, who serves as Executive Producer and Action Supervisor. Harnessing the unique "septimal" ability to generate and control lightning, Gunvolt confronts the formidable business empire known as the Sumeragi Group. Fierce combat ensues against Sumeragi's exceptionally strong adepts (individuals possessing septimal powers) as Gunvolt battles to preserve his nation's freedom.

Speedrun Mode

This innovative mode offers speedrunning enthusiasts worldwide the opportunity to compete for the fastest completion times, with optimized configurations established by the Gunvolt development team to enhance performance for this demanding new challenge. Future updates containing additional features and settings are already in development, so stay alert for upcoming announcements about these enhancements.

Lightning-Based Combat

Utilize your reliable firearm to mark targets, then release a surge of electrical energy to deal devastating damage. You can even tag multiple opponents simultaneously and electrocute them all at once. Your lightning capabilities extend beyond combat, enabling you to execute various maneuvers including traversing dangerous terrain by hovering.

Challenge Diverse Bosses

Sumeragi's most formidable members, each with distinct personalities, stand ready at the conclusion of your missions. Battles intensify as bosses deploy their most devastating abilities and techniques to overwhelm you.

The Muse's Song Changes Battle's Course

Even the mighty Gunvolt can occasionally fall in combat. When this occurs, there's a possibility that Lumen, also known as The Muse, will restore you to life and provide a substantial power enhancement. Additionally, accumulating at least 1000 Kudos during a stage triggers a background music change while Lumen performs one of her songs, continuing as long as you maintain your Kudos count. Your Kudos reset when you sustain damage, so extend that damage-free run as far as possible!

Japanese Voice Mode

In this highly anticipated feature, gamers can experience the original Japanese version of the game, featuring extensive mid-stage conversations completely voiced in Japanese with English subtitles. The entire script has been freshly translated to align with the Japanese version's dialogue. To activate Japanese Voice Mode, select it from the Language Settings before beginning your gameplay session.
