About This Game
Command a mercenary company in a procedurally generated open world setting. Engage in complex turn-based tactical battles featuring historical weapons and brutal injuries. Face permadeath, as any character killed in battle remains dead—unless they return as an undead. Every soldier boasts unique background stories and traits, such as a greedy witch hunter or a disowned drunkard noble. Develop characters freely without a restrictive class system; they earn experience through combat, level up, and learn powerful perks. Equipment plays a crucial role, with different weapons granting unique skills like axes splitting shields, maces stunning enemies, spears forming spearwalls, or warhammers crushing armor. Encounter a diverse roster of enemies, each with specific gear, skills, and AI behavior. Navigate a dynamic event system filled with atmospheric encounters and difficult strategic choices outside of combat. Three late-game crises—a noble house war, greenskin invasion, and undead scourge—pose a looming threat. Includes two hours of orchestral soundtrack, 70 Steam Achievements, and Steam Trading Cards. Developed by Overhype Studios, an independent team in Hamburg, Germany inspired by classics like the original X-Com, Warhammer: Shadow of the Horned Rat, and Jagged Alliance.
