About This Game
Conarium is a terrifying Lovecraftian game centered on the intense story of four scientists and their attempt to surpass the "absolute" limits of nature. Drawing inspiration from H.P. Lovecraft's novella At the Mountains of Madness, the narrative is largely set after the original tale.
Playing as Frank Gilman, you awaken to strange, pulsating noises in a room where an odd device projects a Danse Macabre of light patterns on the walls. Recalling only that you are at Upuaut, an Antarctic base near the South Pole, you find the location deserted and feel that something is terribly wrong. The knowledge that your memories cannot lead you creates a strange vulnerability, a familiar yet alien feeling of being part of a peculiar whole. You will soon discover that using the device during the expedition resulted in your death and a subtle return, accompanied by whispers of strange memories and places. You have either lost something vital or gained something sinister.
Navigate the Antarctic base, along with dreams and visions. Examine clues and reveal secrets while avoiding macabre beings at all costs.
