About This Game
Since birth, we have known a connected world. I've never questioned QWERTY keyboards or mouse usage; social media feels more natural than phones. The world is always open. In this colorful digital sea, they looked skyward and proclaimed: ― We are hackers ―
Few words are as misunderstood as "hacking." It evokes images of frantic typing on monochrome screens to breach the Pentagon, while news cycles constantly report on data leaks and cyber assaults. But what truly defines hackers and crackers today, compared to the email viruses of the past? One character notes, "The way we see it, this world is so full of holes, it's downright scary." Today, almost any PC can connect to the net, and for just ten dollars, one can acquire tools and manuals. The story kicks off with a "CTF" hacking contest, offering a glimpse into their lives.
Once, a legendary hacker named "Warlock" existed. Hiro, a net cafe dweller, becomes motivated to research this figure. However, during his inquiry, a deadly fire destroys the editorial company serving as his source. Digging deeper, he discovers logs indicating a system breach. He teams up with Misa, a hacker possessing skills on par with Warlock, to investigate the incident.
