Dark Years

Dark Years takes place in 1953 Tehran, Iran, and is grounded in true historical events. Following a series of terrifying killings, the city is overcome with fear. Major Afshar receives the assignment to capture the culprits. Elsewhere in London, an Iranian journalist is given files that reveal a plot of enormous magnitude. As both characters dig deeper, their lives collide, revealing a coup scheme and implicating Western governments. This action-adventure game simulates the history of Operation Ajax, wherein the US and UK covertly orchestrated a coup to seize Iran's oil rights, deposing the elected administration of Mohammad Mosaddegh and sparking an era of violence. Highlights include an open-world environment, driving and shooting elements, over eight hours of playtime, a captivating story, and more than 25 characters with nearly 3000 lines of dialogue.
