Desert Child

Play as a starving young hoverbike pilot whose only assets are a classic bike and some ramen. You must scrape together enough money through racing and odd jobs to afford a ticket to Mars before Earth becomes uninhabitable. The government is ending its relocation subsidy, so you have limited time to make it to the Red Planet for the Grand Prix. To survive, you will deliver pizzas, hunt bounties, and collect weapon parts. In between races, explore colorful cities to repair and upgrade your bike with guns, amplifiers, and ads. Dine on interplanetary food to gain buffs and fight against gangsters and bounty hunters. The game features a pixel-art solar system inspired by Cowboy Bebop, Akira, and Redline, offering deep combat and racing mechanics. It is designed for replayability with hidden secrets, includes an original lo-fi hip-hop soundtrack, and supports local multiplayer.
