About This Game

Experience the legendary titles that defined the first-person shooter genre. Originally debuting in 1993, DOOM set the benchmark for FPS games, followed by the acclaimed DOOM II in 1994. Now, players can purchase the definitive, upgraded editions of both games in one combined package. This collection grants access to DOOM, DOOM II, TNT: Evilution, The Plutonia Experiment, Master Levels for DOOM II, No Rest for the Living, Sigil, and the brand-new Legacy of Rust episode developed collaboratively by id Software, Nightdive Studios, and MachineGames. It also features a new Deathmatch map pack containing 26 maps, bringing the total content to 187 mission maps and 43 deathmatch maps. Major updates include online cross-platform multiplayer for up to 16 players, in-game mod browsing for community creations, and the choice between original MIDI soundtracks or modern IDKFA remixes by Andrew Hulshult. The game runs on the KEX engine with multithreaded rendering supporting up to 4K resolution and includes BOOM source compatibility for legacy mods. Accessibility features have been expanded, and the game is now translated into eight new languages, including Japanese, Russian, and Polish. Existing improvements remain, such as upgraded visuals, modern controller support, weapon carousel, local split-screen for four players, 16:9 aspect ratio support up to 1080p, quick save/load, and DeHacked mod support. The package includes the original DOS versions of both games. The bundle covers DOOM (1993) with Episode IV, DOOM II with the Super Shotgun, TNT: Evilution, The Plutonia Experiment, the 20 Master Levels, John Romero’s Sigil episode, and the new Legacy of Rust episode featuring fresh demons and weapons. Please note that a PlayFab account and internet connection are required for specific features.
