About This Game

Journey through the treacherous magic and masked schemes of a city distinctly resembling Venice in this fully-voiced RPG with pauseable tactical combat. In Citte della Ombre, a land plagued by turmoil, religious influence has vanished. Instead, only songs celebrating one's accomplishments preserve an Ombrian's legacy beyond death. Even those possessing the slightest fragment of power strive desperately to ensure their songs endure. Enter the Mascherines—masks that bestow upon their users the ability to wield elemental forces and cast devastating spells. These magical artifacts have fueled a stark division between the power-seeking guild leaders called Masquerada and the destitute masses known as Contadani. An extended civil conflict, sparked when Contadani insurgents seized Mascherines from the Masquerada, has only deepened the wounds of distrust throughout the Citte. Five years after being exiled for treason, Ombre's premier investigator Cicero Gavar is recalled to investigate the baffling abduction of diplomat Razitof Azrus. As additional Masquerada members join his inquiry—each harboring suspicions about the others in this deceptive environment—their convictions will be tested as an even more sinister plot hides within Ombre's shadows.
