About This Game

Inspired by SNK's Neo Geo Pocket Color titles, Pocket Rumble is a streamlined 2D fighter that preserves the mechanics of traditional Street Fighter-style games but lowers the barrier to entry for execution. This approach allows new players to learn the fundamentals easily while enabling veterans to focus on strategy and mindgames. The game features simple 2-button controls, easy special move inputs, and a clear health system where every character has 12 HP and attacks deal 1 damage. It includes on-screen frame data to help players understand mechanics, a diverse roster with unique meters, and the ability to counterpick characters between rounds. Online multiplayer is supported via GGPO netcode. Offline modes consist of Arcade, Versus with double-blind selection, Career mode against AI based on top players, Lessons, and a comprehensive Training mode. Online options include Ranked matches with Elo ratings and Friendly matches for private play.
