About This Game
Released in 2005 by Raven Software and id Software, Quake 4 serves as the direct follow-up to Quake II, offering a story-focused sci-fi military first-person shooter experience alongside arena multiplayer modes. Following the elimination of the Strogg's commander, Earth's forces have renewed their offensive on the alien planet Stroggos. Playing as Marine Corporal Matthew Kane from the elite Rhino Squad, your goal is to lead the charge. However, in this crucial war for human survival against a persistent enemy, you may find that victory requires you to become one of the Strogg. Key features include playing through the narrative sequel to Quake II, utilizing and upgrading high-tech weaponry to fight the Strogg forces, dominating the battlefield using hover tanks and mechanized walkers, and participating in online multiplayer matches such as Capture the Flag, Deathmatch, and Team Deathmatch as either a Marine or a Strogg.
