The Narrative

A glitch in your experimental R-COIL propulsion system has ripped a fissure in the fabric of reality, pulling you into the unknown. You are immediately besieged by a swarm of strange and aggressive beings. With your main thruster and weaponry combined into one system and your stabilizer non-functional, you cannot shoot without propelling yourself. Can you navigate back to your world, or will you perish in the attempt?

Gameplay

R-COIL is a classic-style multi-directional shooter boasting a unique single-button control setup. Steer with the stick and use just one button to shoot and thrust. Tap briefly to unleash firepower, or hold down to engage thrusters. Every shot fired generates recoil that pushes you backward. You must carefully balance your shooting and thrusting to stay in control. Once you master the mechanics, you will soar through the universe like a veteran commander. Just avoid getting destroyed.

Simple, right? Think again! This sector of space is far from welcoming, and the inhabitants won't be glad to see you. You will face sharpshooter saucers with shields, spinners that spray bullets, laser towers, and kamikaze buzz-saws, among others. Basically, if it isn't an asteroid, you likely need to destroy it before it destroys you.
