About This Game
Razerwire:Nanowars is a personal tribute to the 80s arcade scene developed by Emiliano (@DokHgn). Initially a prototype worked on during lunch breaks, this solo project aims to provide immediate, replayable fun with upgrades, high scores, and achievements. Although mouse play is suggested, full controller support is available from version 1.07 onwards. In the game, players use the mouse to control a monomolecular filament (the RazerWire) to destroy nanobugs and shield generators. Gameplay involves surviving endless waves with procedural difficulty increases, utilizing powerups via mouse clicks, and employing a rogue-like progression loop where points earned from death are used to unlock upgrades, with checkpoints provided every 20 waves. The title features diverse enemy types with 7 movement patterns and 4 shooting modes, alongside unlockable wire upgrades and up to 7 powerups. The story is set in a distant future where Dr.Illerotsap transforms a medical tool into the RazerWire to combat nano-sized alien viruses. Credits go to family, Olaf, Mash Machine for music, Yannis, and Juhani Junkala for VFX.
