About This Game
Rise of the Third Power serves as an homage to the golden age of console RPGs, blending modern amenities like auto-saving with the finest aspects of Japanese and Western gameplay and storytelling. Experience a hybrid of Eastern and Western design, old and new, in a title crafted to exceed Stegosoft Games' previous titles in every regard.
1587, 2A - It has been 15 years since the Great War ended, claiming the lives of half a generation. Only two major powers remain: the kingdom of Cirinthia and the ancient Republic of Tariq.
Dimitri Noraskov, a hero of the defeated Arkadya, rose from the ruins. Viewing his king as a coward for surrendering and a traitor for signing the Treaty of Evenheart, he gained the people's support to overthrow the monarch. He reclaimed lost lands and raised an army, theorizing that the war-torn world was too weak to enforce the treaty—a gamble that has so far paid off.
The Arkadyan Empire continues its aggression unchecked. Many fear a second Great War is now inevitable, yet there are still those who believe it can be stopped...
- STORY DRIVEN - Assemble a party of eight distinct characters, each driven by their own goals and personalities, as they set out on a near-impossible mission to overthrow Emperor Dimitri Noraskov of Arkadya. Players will encounter a mix of humor, drama, and tragedy while traversing the perilous lands of Rin.
- POLITICAL INTRIGUE - With the world of Rin still healing from the Great War, the power balance is fragile, leaving vacuums that invite manipulation. The party will face schemers and betrayers while time runs out towards a repeat of history's greatest war.
- CUSTOM BATTLE SYSTEM - Featuring eight playable characters, the battle system is built from the ground up to allow everyone to fight at once, removing the need for constant party swapping. Strategize by combining unique abilities, countering enemy skills, and setting formations before charging into combat.
- PERSISTENT EQUIPMENT - Every piece of gear found, bought, or stolen acts as a permanent upgrade. Instead of replacing old equipment, players purchase or craft upgrades directly onto the item. Each character has 2 weapons, 1 accessory, and 10 equipment slots for a total of 80 craftables, streamlining inventory management while giving completionists plenty to hunt for.
