Shadows: Awakening represents the latest installment in the Heretic Kingdoms series. Following the assassination of the Penta Nera, their souls are stolen by Devourers—demons capable of absorbing memories and manifesting souls as puppets. You command a Devourer summoned from the Shadow Realm, tasked with consuming the souls of fallen heroes. Seamlessly travel between the Shadow Realm and the mortal world, experiencing a narrative rich with myths and legendary creatures. The game features a unique party system where you control multiple characters within a single demon, complete with internal dialogues and rivalries. Choose from three main heroes, each with individual quests, and utilize the souls of 14 playable characters, such as Kalig the Bandit King and Evia. Engage in tactical real-time combat by combining abilities from various characters. The game offers extensive gameplay, promising over 20 hours per playthrough and up to 60 hours for the complete experience. Solve complex puzzles across diverse environments, utilize an expanded crafting and looting system, and enjoy fully voiced narrations featuring talents like Tom Baker.
