About This Game

An abstract, minimalistic experience focusing on the physical and emotional gaps separating individuals. This free-to-play title features intuitive controls and puzzle mechanics rooted in proxemics—the theory that physical distance mirrors emotional distance, which is essential for solving stages. Developed in just 40 hours for the Internet Festival Game Jam in Pisa, the project took home the top award. The game boasts a clean aesthetic and an abstract narrative; players must interpret visuals to navigate their square avatar through life's challenges. We designed Space Between Worlds to convey a tale through unique methods, expressing feelings via interactivity. It is now available on Steam so a wider audience can enjoy this distinctive experience. Features include puzzles relying on player interpretation, a narrative conveyed through play, music by Brian Crain, and plenty of squares alongside poignant moments.
