About This Game
Your objective is to engineer a two-way rift connecting back to Earth. This sophisticated device demands immense energy, so simple solar arrays and basic steel won't suffice. You must establish an intricate network of mines, refineries, powerplants, and laboratories to accomplish this goal. Your arrival on this planet will not remain a secret. As your industrial expansion disrupts the natural balance, the world will perceive you as a danger. Fortify your defenses by erecting walls, barriers, and turrets, as assaults intensify daily. You will confront thousands of hostile creatures intent on eradicating your presence. Galatea 37 is a mysterious planet located within the Milky Way's Sycorax belt. Long-range scans indicate it is habitable and ideal for colonization. The world is abundant with rare minerals found in various locations. Diverse biomes may surprise you with undiscovered wildlife and severe weather. Establish remote outposts in resource-dense zones to transport materials via rift technology. Assume the role of Captain Ashley S. Nowak, the Riftbreaker, an elite scientist-commando encased in a formidable Mecha-Suit. Step through a one-way portal to Galatea 37, a remote world, to construct a base enabling return travel to Earth and further colonization. Ashley’s suit, nicknamed 'Mr. Riggs,' endures extreme environments and possesses full equipment for construction, harvesting, specimen collection, and combat, with the ability to traverse rifts across vast distances. Embark on an epic trek across Galatea 37's varying biomes. You will set up multiple permanent bases to drive your economy. Investigate alien substances and lifeforms while battling hordes of creatures displeased with your disruption. The campaign offers extensive gameplay and significant freedom within a highly detailed, procedurally generated world, allowing you to set priorities and select technologies. Your goal is to endure for a specific duration, repelling progressively harder waves of enemies. Each mission is procedurally generated, offering nearly infinite replayability. The Riftbreaker supports single-player or online co-op for up to four friends. Every mode is balanced for both solo and multiplayer, featuring a built-in server browser, dedicated server support, and offline LAN capability. If the struggle for survival isn't appealing, try Sandbox mode, granting you full control over the game, including resources, enemy spawns, and weather. Tailor the gameplay to your preference by adjusting attack frequency, enemy strength and numbers, resource richness, weather events, damage output, and more. Multiple difficulty presets cater to both hardcore strategists and those seeking a relaxed building experience. The Riftbreaker’s evolution is driven by its active community, with years of post-release support and expansions based on player feedback. The game features an open content structure, built-in modding tools, Steam Workshop integration, and a Mod Manager. Join the community on Discord or forums to share feedback and help shape the game's future.
