About This Game

"The concept of crafting a container of gems, each brimming with vitality... doesn't it stir a slight sense of excitement?"

This Starry Midnight We Make serves as a simulation of celestial growth where the main character, Hamomoru Tachibana, generates cosmic entities via the enigmatic Star-seeing Basin.

Hamomoru Tachibana, the heroine, is a clergywoman who is earnest to a fault and easily disconcerted. During a trip to Kyoto, Japan in the early 1900s, she attended a night festival at a nearby shrine. While indulging in a local delicacy, she became lost on a deep forest path adjacent to the shrine.

Deep within the woods, bordered by three torii gates, Hamomoru encounters Chuuya Shingoh, an inquisitive man who claims to be a science student. Chuuya introduces Hamomoru to the "Star-seeing Basin," a device that allows one to apparently "cultivate" stars and a representation of the night sky using pebbles, and asks her to join his trials. Although she is reluctant initially, her lost wallet necessitates her stay in Kyoto.

Finally accepting Chuuya's proposal for accommodation, she agrees to aid him in his "investigations" as compensation. Per Chuuya, the stars formed in the Basin might possess the power to impact the remainder of the city in a way akin to onmyou divination. To verify this, Hamomoru and Chuuya will traverse the avenues of Kyoto, all while forging stars inside the Star-seeing Basin...
