About This Game

Kelly, in her mid-20s, finds herself compelled to return to Nebraska. Back to the vast flatlands, that seemingly boundless ocean of whispering cornfields punctuated by weathered silos and even more weathered towns. A characteristically intense Midwestern storm is brewing while Kelly is away; she needs to make it home. Three Fourths Home is a visual narrative where you step into Kelly's shoes as she drives through the tempest. During the 20-mile journey from her grandparents' deteriorating barn to her parents' residence, she receives a call from her mother. While navigating through a stylized depiction of rural Nebraska, you must manage an extended dialogue between Kelly and her parents and younger brother. Three Fourths Home examines a particular moment in these characters' lives and their relationships with each other. The narrative explores various issues affecting Kelly and her family, including disability, adulthood, and family responsibilities. Gameplay: As a visual narrative, dialogue selection is the central focus of Three Fourths Home. Between the main game and the epilogue, nearly 800 distinct dialogue options influence the story based on your choices. Beyond dialogue selection, you must also continue driving to maintain the conversation. Stopping causes time to nearly halt. Kelly must progress forward to reach home. New to the Extended Edition: For its Steam release, Three Fourths Home: Extended Edition includes an enhanced version of the original launch, along with several new elements, such as an additional epilogue and numerous extra features. Epilogue: Idling in the Rubble: Located at a bus stop in snowy Minnesota, Idling in the Rubble follows another conversation Kelly has with her mother. This 20-30 minute experience explores Kelly's past, investigating her motives for returning to Nebraska and her internal conflict following the main game's events. Extra Features: Radio - Listen to the soundtrack by Neutrino Effect; Stories - Four new stories written by Kelly's younger brother, Ben; Photos - Browse through Kelly's final project for her college photography course.
