About This Game

Two Brothers is an Action Adventure game presented with a classic Gameboy aesthetic. Roy Guarder, an inventor, scientist, and philosopher, is on a journey to find the origins of life. This search leads him to "The Cursed Lands," a region so dangerous and mysterious that it has been unexplored for over 700 years. Upon finding what he seeks, Roy suffers a grim fate and is no longer a living man. Instead, he discovers a world full of colors he never imagined possible. His obsession grows, and Roy walks the line between life and death—sometimes taking his own life—to see this beautiful, colorful land again. However, something is odd: Why is Roy the only one who can easily cross between the worlds of the living and the dead? What gave him this power? How will he accept the existence of an afterlife he didn't believe in? Explore a vast, non-linear world with multiple endings and deep side quests! Transform the game world from black and white 8-bit to full-color 16-bit! Two Brothers offers a unique take on death in video games. When the player dies in combat or by trap, they don't see a standard Game Over screen but arrive at the "Afterlife Hub." This colorful, mysterious place lets players explore, find clues, and talk to characters who have died in the story, sometimes even bringing them back to life. To return to the game, players can jump from the heavens and get back to action. This mechanic is essential, as interacting with the dead can be as important as interacting with the living, often requiring players to intentionally trigger a game over to cross over.
