About This Game

Set in 1997, the world faces a crisis of diminishing IQ caused by an alien-engineered stupidity ray. Humanity's savior is Zak McKracken, a writer for the unreliable National Inquisitor known for stories about meat-eating melons. Although the notion of aliens controlling the telephone company seems like another one of Zak's fake stories, he allies with Annie, leader of the Society of Ancient Wisdom, along with Leslie and Melissa, two Yale students who have journeyed to Mars in their customized van. The quartet must solve the fragments of an old riddle, reveal the alien presence, and shut down the machine. This title is a vintage point-and-click adventure allowing you to control four characters. Navigate a crazy world using classic text verbs, traveling from Earth to outer space. Perfect for fans of retro gaming, this ScummVM-powered title offers eccentric humor, classic pixel art, and mind-bending puzzles without the need for typing.
